William “Bill” Wilcoxson

December 15, 1946 – July 12, 2020

William R. Wilcoxson, age 73, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020. He was born on December 15, 1946.

As a native Floridian Bill grew up on Roxbury Road in Winter Park, graduated Edgewater High School and attended Rollins College. He served 4 years in the U.S. Navy on the USS Diamond Head as a Stock Clerk. He dedicated 33 years to Orlando Utilities Commission and worked as a Material Handling Operator towards the end.

He loved to play softball, hunt, fish and watch old westerns. He always enjoyed his coffee piping hot. He brought joy and laughter with his witty sense of humor. He was very kind and generous. Bill was a devoted son, brother, dad and grandpa who will be greatly missed.

Bill is predeceased by his father, William R. Wilcoxson. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Jean Wilcoxson; brother, Marvin C. Wilcoxson; three daughters, Jeanette Julsrud (Eric) of John Day, OR, Donna Winesburgh (Randy) of Fort Worth, TX, Karen Godbold (Rick) of Winter Park, FL; granddaughters Alaine, Erin, Courtney, Brittany; grandsons Trenton, Randy Jay, Christopher, Jonathan, David, Timothy, Tyler; and great-grandchildren Leif, Riley, Jayden, Faith, Adrian, Patricia.

In addition, Bill is survived by his girlfriend, Patricia Solomon; her daughter, Tami Moore; and grandchildren Andrea and Travis Michael.

In lieu of flowers the Family has requested all gifts be given to Youth Hunting Program of FL through the Fish and Wildlife Foundation.

Friends and relatives are invited to join a celebration of life service on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 12 pm. A visitation before the service will begin at 11 am at the funeral home.
