PETRY William E. Bill was called home by our heavenly Father on February 25, 2014. Beloved husband for 69 yrs to his loving wife Faith. Devoted father to Patricia and husband Neil, William Jr., and wife Christina, Debra and husband Harry. Adored Grandfather of Neil Jr., Lisa, David, Charles, Richard, Karina, Sydney, Jenna and Amanda. Loving GreatGrandfather to Vincent and Christy. Bill was a proud veteran of WWII, volunteering at age 17. He served in the US Navy and saw action in the European Theater including the DDay invasion of Normandy. After the war he joined United Parcel Service UPS alongside founder Jim Casey. Bill was a major contributor to the companys success. After his retirement, Bill and Faith traveled the world and then relocated to Florida from New York. Always deeply committed to his family he insisted with no excuses on taking everyone on a reunion cruise every year. Bill inspired all who knew him with his positive outlook on life, his generosity, his tremendous work ethic and strength of character. Through our tears, we celebrate his life. Viewing will be held at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, on Wednesday, March 5, and Thursday, March 6, from 24 and 68pm. Service will take place on Friday, 11am, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Orlando. Entombment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha.
