Will was an old soul who lived life by his own terms. He battled bravely with determination and a humble heart against XLP2 and Crohn's Disease. His fight was not in vain. He changed everyone that ever met him for the better. He made the world a more beautiful place. He taught people selflessness, as he always thought about others before himself. He was kind and caring and fiercely loved his family. He wanted to share his love of gaming and show others that just because you're in the hospital, doesn't mean you cant still find happiness. He followed his dream and started his own YouTube channel under the name Ripped Pheonix. He enjoyed spending time with friends he met along the way, especially his friends from Streetlight. Will was also a food aficionado, he had a very special place in his heart for Salami and Olives! He was also fond of wings, taco bell, blue bunny ice cream and virgin margaritas. His passions also included his beloved Pokemon collection, making plushies, bead/tile art, Star Wars, DC Comics, Anime, Nintendo and too many games to name for PS4. He always had something amazingly witty and smart to say and he wasn't afraid to be himself. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten because he lives on in the hearts of all that loved him.
Will is survived by his mother, Brigitte Thompson and his father, Quadree Thompson. His beloved sisters Giselle and Amelia Thompson who were always by his side and his dog Apollo. He is also survived by his Maternal Grandparents Brigitte and Julius Krentz, His Aunt Jennifer (Ronnie) Kramer and his Uncle Rob (Debbie) Krentz. Will also had many amazing people in his life that he loved and considered family. They took excellent care of him, his favorite nurses/staff from Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital, Shands Children's Hospital and many other Dr. Offices; Yanra, Pam, Tammy, Drew, Everyone at Streetlight, Anna, Lendy, Kurt, Randy, David, Amber, Abby, Hannah, Aleesha, Leslie, Nick, Christy, Garrett, Dr. Allmendinger, Dr. Rothman, Dr. Johnson and Dr. Jenn.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
