Virginia Diehl

Virginia Lee Jordan Diehl, 88, passed away on December 27, 2022, in Orlando, Florida.

Virginia was born on February 21, 1934 in Vero Beach, FL, to Fred Paul and Mary Granger Jordan.

Virginia married Warren L. Diehl in 1952. The couple had 4 children: Daniel L. Diehl of Orlando, FL; Debra J. Perry of Orlando, FL; Susan D. Bidwell of Cumming, GA and David J. Diehl of New Port Richey, FL.

After Virginia was divorced, she attended Valencia Junior College where she earned an Associate degree in nursing. She later attended Georgia State University and completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling. She worked as a Registered Nurse until her retirement.

Virginia was best known for her zest for life. She loved people. She loved traveling. She was a Beta Sigma Phi sister for many years in Orlando and later in Cumming, GA. She loved her sorority sisters. She loved her family. She was a generous and caring individual. She had many conversations with God and knew that He loved and guided her through her life.

Virginia is survived by all four of her children, many grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Virginia is preceded in death by her father Fred Jordan, her mother Mary Granger Phillips and her sister Georgia Jordan Shafer.

The service for Virginia Diehl will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home.

Visitation will also be on Sunday January 8th. Immediate family will be from 12:00 to 12:30. Visitation for friends will be from 12:30 to 1:00.

Virginia will be buried at Old Union Church New Cemetery, Young Harris, GA.

Memorial donations can be made in Virginia's name to Alzheimer's Association - Fight Alzheimer's and Dementia.
