Viola Carpenter

VIOLA CURRY CARPENTER. She was 92 when she passed away on March 9, 2019 and was a native of Orlando, Florida. Predeceased by her parents, Dotson & Bessie Curry, husband, Clyde C. Carpenter & son, Larry L. Carpenter. Survivors: brother, Melvin (Shirley) Curry, brother-in-law, Jack Carpenter, daughter, Jan (Guy) Richards, daughter-in-law, Kay Carpenter; grandchildren, Sarah (Mike) Lim, Andrew, Matthew & Rachel; great-grandchild, Norah and lots of nieces, nephews & cousins. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ at South Bumby Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Florida College Memorial Book Fund, 119 North Glen Arven, Temple Terrace, FL 33617. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2019 2PM in the Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park, FL. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home 1 hour prior to service time.
