Today will be a day never forgotten. Our dear friend and my amazing little brother Thomas Evans left us to fly with the angels. My father and I were at his side holding his hands as he passed. Thanks to the hospital nurses for bending the rules to enable us both to be by his side till the end. The staff at Orlando Health are true heroes who worked tirelessly to keep him alive. In the end it was his time... he touched so many lives just by being himself and living his life of many miracles. I've often referred to him as a living Saint. He was very special and will be missed beyond words. His love was so genuine to all his friends. As a family we were so blessed to have him in our lives. The world will never be the same.
After he passed I heard over and over in my head the words of Ronald Reagan in his speech after the Challenger explosion 1/26/1996 when he said:
"We will never forget them, nor the last time we saw them this morning as they prepared for their journey and waved goodbye, and; slipped the surly bonds of earth to touch the face of God."
To all those who knew him, I know you are hurting as well with this news. My prayers are with you, and I know we will all be together again soon. ❤️
Fly little brother... fly with the angels.
