Teresa Bhanote, 83, closed her eyes and gracefully passed away into eternal paradise on August 18, 2021. She was born and raised in Ibague, Colombia with her two younger brothers, Ricardo and Hernando.
She received a diploma from the Colombian Institute of Specializations in December of 1966 for IBM in Bogota, Colombia. As the eldest in her family, Teresa then decided to forge a path to come to America.
Teresa settled in New York City and met her future husband, Kuldip Rai Bhanote, Sr. They were married June 19,1967 and resided in Queens, NY. She studied at Queensborough Community College. She graduated with certificates in word processing and medical office assistant in January of 1993. She was notorious for her devout attendance at Holy Child Jesus Church.
In 2014, Teresa and Kuldip moved to Orlando, FL to be closer to family that could help them with their independent living. Teresa appreciated traveling, gardening, knitting, and cooking. She enjoyed starting her days with crossword puzzles and word searches.
As a mother of four sons (William, Freddy, Kenneth and Kuldip Jr.), Teresa had unconditional love. She is described as a stubborn fighter who never gave up. She instilled courtesy, love, and respect in her eight grandchildren (Gina, Alex, Amanda, Diana, Kuldip III, Katherine, Alex, Kristine), who remember her for the unconditional love she gave them. Less than two months shy of holding her first great grandchild, Teresa will be honored and remembered with countless stories and memories. She touched the lives of so many people throughout her life; especially her loved ones.
Teresa Bhanote will be viewed at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Tuesday, August 24th.Funeral service will be held at the same location the following day at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Orlando Memorial Gardens.
