Sharon Dean Brandenburg

Sharon D. Brandenburg, age 76 of Orlando, Florida, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.  Sharon was born in Mobile, Alabama on August 1, 1947 to the late Ruby and Gilbert X. Barker.  As a child she lived in Alabama, Washington State and Decatur, Georgia.  Her family relocated to Orlando, Florida in 1962, where she attended Edgewater High School and graduated from Boone High School in 1965.

She met her future husband, Phil Brandenburg in the summer of 1964.  They were married on November 18, 1967.  Sharon was a beautician until the demands of raising her two boys required more of her time.  She later worked in different churches as a secretary/administrative assistant. She adored her boys, their wives and her grandchildren. 

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Phil Brandenburg; her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Nhung Brandenburg; son, Jeff Brandenburg; four grandchildren, Andrew, Holland, Aaron and Helena; sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn and Chuck Atwood; sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Gary Cain; daughter-in-law, Roberta Pennington Brandenburg.

The family is especially grateful and would like to extend a special thank you to Vitas Hospice Team for their exemplary care provided over the last three years.
