Norris, Sara Green beloved wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and dear friend went peacefully from this earth on December 29, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was an amazing woman of grace who served her Lord, her family, her church, and her community. Today we rejoice in the knowledge that she is forever at home with her Lord and Savior. Sara was born in St. Petersburg, Florida in 1924 to John and Ruth Green. She graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1941. She attended University of Georgia where she was a Pi Beta Phi. She graduated in 1945 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Journalism. She met her future husband Franklin Norris when he was stationed at MacDill Air Force Base. Shortly after, they eloped and to quote Sara it was a small wedding but a big marriage. They celebrated 64 wonderful years together. In 1957, they moved to Orlando where he started his medical practice and together they raised two children, Gloria and Gray. Sara loved hosting dinner parties with close friends, dancing the night away including taking home the trophy for Best Dancers at the Orlando Country Club Charleston contest and traveling through Europe with Frank. She was active in the Pi Beta Phi Alumni Association, the Orange County Medical Society Auxiliary, the Country Club of Orlando, The Pink Ladies at Orange Memorial Hospital, and served on the Boone High School PTA Board. She was a 50years member of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando and served along side her husband as president of their Sunday School class as well as President of her Presbyterian Women Church Circle. Her legacy of love, grace and strength will continue to live on in her familys heart and all those who loved her for years to come. Sara is predeceased by her parents, John and Ruth Green and her husband, Frank. She is survived by her children, Gloria Norris Sales and Franklin Gray Norris IIIKathy her grandchildren Grayson Sales Merritt John, Jonathan Norris Sales Heather and Gray Norris Rebecca her greatgrandchildren Jackson, Tristan and Aidan Merritt and Ethan Norris. Services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church located on the 18th Floor of Orlando Lutheran Towers 300 East Church Street, Orlando, FL 32801 at 1:00pm on Saturday, January 3, 2015.
