Sammy Jones, Sr.

Sam Jones died Thursday afternoon, February 4, 2021 in Orlando, FL. Sam was born November 15, 1937 in Jamestown, AL. He was married to Joyce Heard on August 15, 1958 and they shared their lives until they were separated on her death November 2017. Sam is survived by his sister Dora and his brother Joe; his sons Glenn and Mike and Daughter In-Law Denise; grandsons Josh and his Wife Jenna and Justin and his Girlfriend Kelly Sloan; and great grandchildren Kaycee and Tucker. Sam served in the United States Air Force and then served 39 and a half years as a Florida Highway Patrol Trooper. Viewing will be at Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, FL on Sunday, February 14 from 11:30am until time of service at 12:30pm. Burial to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL. (Due to the Covid-19 crisis, only 50 attendees will be admitted to the service)
