Ruby Jo Hansen, 82 of Orlando went to be with her Lord and Savior, while resting peacefully in her home on Thursday, November 27, 2014. Ruby was born in Ocoee, Fl. She was married to her loving husband Kenneth J. Hansen for 66 years and resided in the home they built together for 57 years. She retired from Orange County Public Schools. Ruby enjoyed working in her garden, sewing, and visiting with her kids and grandkids. She loved gospel music, telling stories and cutting up with friends and family. Ruby was a Baptist and truly loved the Lord and praised him daily. She also deeply loved her sisters and brothers and visiting with her many lifelong friends and neighbors. She is survived by her four children: Kenneth Hansen Gail, Sharon Hansen Brown, Jeff Hansen Pam, Kim Hansen, and sisters Louise Angel and Helen Hayes and also her grandchildren: Kenny and Shaun Hansen, Pam and Chris Brown, Heather and Delanie Hansen and Elizabeth and Kendra Miller. Ruby has thirteen great grandchildren and thirteen nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Ruby Jos passing is preceded by her husband Kenneth J. Hansen, Sisters Bonnie Marsh and Flo Bass and Brothers Gilbert and Larry Marsh. A viewing will take place at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, on Sunday, November 30, 2014, from 4pm6pm, where funeral service will be held on Monday, December 1, at 11am. Pastor Jimmy Franks of Southland Baptist Temple will be officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Orlando.
