Ronald Odell

Ronald W. Odell, 81, died March 25, 2017. Born in Marshall, Missouri, Ron passed after a long battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his wife Gladys (Susie) Odell, brother Marshall Odell (Carol), daughter Kim (Kent), son Marc (Cheryl), and two granddaughters Taylor and Sarah. He graduated from University of Florida with a degree in building construction. While attending the university, he worked as a Deputy Sheriff and Detective for Alachua County. He moved to Orlando in 1970, where he worked for Walt Disney World, then General Mills and Darden Restaurants. In 1985 he started his own woodworking shop, Custom Wood Products. Ron was an Eagle Scout, Army veteran from 1959 to 1962, Florida Mason, Shriner and avid outdoorsman. Ron was admired by many and loved by more. He will be missed. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 29th from 5:00pm until time of memorial service at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Society or your favorite charity.
