Ronald Lee Novitsky died 17 June 2016 at the VA Community Living Center, Lake Nona, FL. Ron was born 28 Aug. 1950 in Rapid City, SD and was from a Military family. He spent his youth in Washington, D.C., Orlando, Alaska and Texas. He joined the USAF in 1969 and after serving in Vietnam & Germany for 3 ½ years he was discharged and lived in Luxembourg for 2 years. He later returned to Miami, FL. He eventually moved to NYC where he worked for E.F. Hutton on Wall Street. Later, he moved to Las Vegas to work at Circus Circus as a gaming employee and eventually to Los Angeles/Burbank where he worked for Universal Studios and 20th Century Fox Films. He finally retired in Titusville, FL.
Ron is survived by his parents Edward and Virginia L. Novitsky of Orlando, FL, his sister Catherine M. Ramsey of Orlando, FL. He was proceeded in death by his sister Barbara and brother John Novitsky.
Ron was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 4237, Orlando and DAV Post 109, Titusville. He was also a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA/AFL-CIO) and the NRA-ILA. He was an avid fly fisherman and a member of the Backcountry Fly Fishing Assoc. of Brevard.
A memorial service will be held at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Road in Orlando, FL on June 28, 2016 at 11AM. Interment will be at Cape Canaveral Cemetery.
