Ronald J. Hudson Sr., age 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 31, 2019. Ron was born on March 3, 1942 in Connellsville, PA to Wilford and Gwendolyn Hudson. In 1965 Ron graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. While at Southern Miss he participated in the ROTC program and shortly after graduation was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Army. Ron served his country bravely and honorably in
Vietnam as an Airborne Infantryman, a Combat Tracker and Jungle Expert. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Combat Infantryman's Badge. Ron married the love of his life, Jeanie, in 1965. They moved to Orlando in 1968 where Ron began
a lifelong career in the flooring industry. His hard work and early success laid the foundation for the family business, Hudson Flooring established in 1986, which still thrives today. Ron and Jeanie settled in to raising their three sons and became active in the local community.
Ron impacted the lives of many young men through coaching baseball at the storied fields of Conway Little League. Coach Ron's legacy will live on through the valuable life lessons he instilled in countless hearts and minds. Not only was
Ron passionate about mentoring through sports, he also enjoyed spending time with his cherished granddaughters, reading a good book on his beloved Cocoa Beach and sitting on his perch at Coconuts. Ron is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jeanie; sons,
Ronald Jr. (Julie), Cary (Sheryl), Curt; granddaughters, Alyssa (predeceased), Gray, Carrigan and Rilee; brother, Wilford Jr.Services will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 4545 Anderson Rd., Orlando, FL 32812, on Wednesday February 6th. Visitation begins
at 10am followed by an 11am Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Blessed Trinity Orlando for the church building fund in memory of Ron Hudson.
