Robert Stucker, 93, passed to his eternal home on January 1, 2024. He was born on May 23, 1930, in Richmond, VA. He was the son of Lyman Stucker and Marguerite Barrackman Capron. He married Mary E. Slone on July 21, 1959.
Robert served in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S Air Force, traveling and living all over the world, including Japan, South Korea, Germany, and numerous states, before retiring from the U.S. Air Force. He always put his family first and after retirement cared for his grandchildren and in later years was the caretaker for his wife of 64 years, Mary.
Robert was a member of Conway First Baptist Church for 50 years and faithfully served as a deacon for many of those years helping others.
He was a lifelong baseball fan and never missed a chance to catch a game, especially if the Yankees were playing.
Robert is survived by his wife, Mary, his daughter, Lee Loving, his son, Ron Stucker (Michele), six grandchildren, Adam Loving (Leslie), Brent Loving, Lindsey Bast (Nicholas), Garrett Loving, Andrew Stucker (Erin), Nick Stucker (Kathryn) and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 2:30 pm at Redemption Orlando, 2950 E. Grant Street, Orlando FL.
A private burial with military honors will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
