Robert Moore

Robert Ernest Moore, 88, went home to be with the Lord on February 20, 2023 in Orlando, FL.

Robert (Bob) was born in Battle Creek, MI on February 8, 1935 to Dircie F. and Dovieanna Moore. He was the second of four children. After graduating high school, Bob joined the Air Force. He served from 1955 to 1959 as a communication and navigation technician.

While stationed at McCoy AFB in Orlando, FL, Bob began attending Delaney St.
Baptist Church. He accepted Jesus as his Savior in 1956. During this time he met Ruth Black and the couple were married February 24,1957.

After his service in the Air Force, Bob began working for Martin Marietta as a Product Inspector of missile parts. His career there spanned thirty years.

Bob and Ruth raised five children and were devoted parents. They also invested in the lives of many youth and children at Delaney St. Baptist Church. Bob served as a deacon and in several ministries of the church including Sunday School, Bus Ministry, Youth Ministry, Children's Church, AWANA, and Mission Trips.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Ruth; son Russell Moore; daughters Robin Chapman (Rob); Renee Britton (Alan); daughter-in-law LouEllen Moore; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister and two brothers; sons Robert Moore Jr;
Ronald Moore; daughter-in-law Joni Moore; granddaughter Rebecca Chapman.

Bob Moore left a legacy of love and devotion for his Lord, his family, and many others. He will be missed by all but we rejoice that he is with his Savior and we will one day see him again!

The Moore family is welcoming friends on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM for a gathering at Delaney Street Baptist Church. A Funeral Service to immediate follow at 3:00 PM.
