Robert Lambrecht

June 9, 1961 — August 3, 2015

Robert Evans Lambrecht, 54, passed away Monday, August 3rd, 2015 in Orlando, Fla.
Son of Ralph E. and Margaret H. Lambrecht, Robert was born June 9, 1961 in Waukegan, Ill.,
attended Lake Forest High School, and graduated from Purdue University in 1984 with Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering.
He earned an MBA from Penn State-Behrend, Erie, Penn.
A childhood fascination for railroads evolved into passion-turned-vocation leading to employment with General Electric in the Locomotive
Engineering Group in Erie, Penn. He later worked with TSM Inc., who pioneered the development of today's ECP (Electronic Controlled Pneumatic) train brake system,
and concluded his career with the Federal Railroad Administration in Washington, D.C. Robert took great pride in this work, and equipment that he helped design and
manufacture continues to operate millions of miles daily across the North American rail network.
Robert's other passion was the love of his life, Pamela Lee Hardy, to whom he was married to for 21 years, and their 4 legged companions Mr. B, Tucker, and Elliot.
He will be forever remembered by his parents, sister Sarah Lambrecht, of Evanston, Ill., brother Thomas Lambrecht of Keller, Texas and Calgary, Alberta, and many friends and industry colleagues.
We will always cherish his intelligence, his creativity, and the boundless energy and enthusiasm that he poured into everything he did.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held at a Memorial Service on Saturday, August 22 at Grace United Methodist Church, 244 E. Centre Ave., Lake Bluff, Ill. Visitation will be at 2 p.m., and service at 3 p.m.
