Patricia "Patti" M. Sorrells, age 87, died on Sunday, October 3 at Suncoast Hospice in Palm Harbor, FL. Patti was born in Miami, FL on June 9, 1934 to her loving parents Jesse and Ruby Hutchinson. She grew up in Miami and graduated from Miami-Jackson High School, and she attended Mars Hill College in North Carolina. She worked for many years as an occupational specialist with the Orange County School System helping students find their calling in several middle and high schools throughout the county. Patti was a member of the First Baptist Church in Orlando, FL for over fifty years where she enjoyed the company of her many friends. She also enjoyed traveling and eating out at local restaurants in the Orlando area. Patti was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and she will be greatly missed by her entire extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Ruby Hutchinson; her first husband, Lloyd W. Keen; and her second husband Thomas E. Sorrells to whom she was married for forty-five years. Patti is survived by her sons Mark L. Keen and John K. Keen (Diane); step-daughter Susan Allen; step-son Stephen Sorrells; brothers Wayne Hutchinson (Margie) and Arthur Hutchinson (Doris); four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Henry Chapel on the campus of First Baptist Church / Orlando, FL (3000 S. John Young Pkwy/ Orlando, FL 32805) on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11:00 am.
