Natalie Louise Fern Staschke went to heaven April 19,2024. She was born on January 24, 1931, to Raymond L Fern and J. Elizabeth Fern in Chicago. Illinois. Natalie grew up in Chicago with her four sisters, Penny, Crystal, Leslie and Judi. The sisters enjoyed adventures in the summertime at their family vacation home in Lakeside, Michigan. Natalie graduated from Jones Commercial High School in Chicago and worked as a federal bank employee. She married Ralph Staschke on December 1, 1951, then they moved to Baltimore, Maryland. They had three children, Mark, Carol and Kurt. In 1958, the family moved to Orlando, Florida. Natalie enjoyed raising her family and participating in the Marlando Club from Lockheed Martin Corporation and volunteered at the Glaucoma Detection Center in Orlando. Natalie was also involved with DAR and the Mayflower Society. She was a member of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church where she was a Circle member and a member of the Women of the Church group. Natalie and Ralph spent over 25 years summering in Asheville, North Carolina where they enjoyed playing bridge and attending Kenilworth Presbyterian Church. She also enjoyed traveling and had visited all 50 US states and 39 countries as evidenced by a collection of plates hanging in her dining room commemorating each visit. She also enjoyed reading, sewing and playing card games. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Mark and granddaughter Jennifer Staschke. Natalie is survived by her husband of 72 years, Ralph Staschke; children Kurt Staschke ( Jody) and Carol Manno; daughter in law Sherry Staschke; grandchildren Elizabeth Lovett ( Jeffrey) , Scott Manno ( Kristin), Scott Staschke, Haley Curry ( Alex) and Jade Staschke; great grandchildren: Elliot Staschke, Vivian Staschke, Ralph Curry, Elaine Curry, Sophie Lovett. Sisters, Penny Lisle, Crystal Fern, Leslie Adams (Richard) , Judi Friebel ( Robert) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
