Nancy Fumiko Jakulewicz, loving wife of Charles Jakulewicz. Nancy passed away at home following a two month Hospitalization on Friday October 20, 2017 . Nancy was born Fumiko Mitsuhashi in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan on November 21,1931 to Kusutaro Mitsuhashi and Hatsu Takita. Nancy was the youngest of six children having five older brothers. Nancy finished Junior College in Japan prior to coming to the United States and she became a U.S. citizen on December 20,1967. Nancy is survived by her loving husband Charles. Nancy and Charles were married on August 31,1968 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Nancy was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 286 and of the Sakuraki Japenese Luncheon group . Nancy had been a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1917 of Moose Lodge 2345. Nancy also frequently accompanied her husband Charles to Orlando Elks Lodge 1079 for an evening of dining and dancing. Nancy was an accomplished seamstress and crafter. Nancy loved to shop and dance and she loved a good party. She received many compliments on her dancing.
A memorial service will be held at 11am, Saturday October 28, 2017 at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home; 2811 Curry Ford Rd., Orlando, 32806.
Visitation will be held on Thursday October 26th from 6-8pm and Saturday from 10 to 11am.
Nancy was a resident of Orlando for 29 years and will be missed by all who knew her. Nancy's final resting place will be at Florida National Cemetery at Bushnell, Florida.
