It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mary Louise Unklesbay, on March 2nd, 2024 at the age of 97.
Born on August 12th, 1926, in Lancaster Ohio, to Edward Daniel Fisher and Cora Ellen Hoover Fisher. A dedicated Military wife to her late husband Roy B. Unklesbay Sr., and a devoted mother to her children Gregory, Deborah, Jeffrey, Roy “Ben” Jr, Linda, and Beverly.
Mary lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She had a passion for her children, bowling, and her job at the Florida Auto Auction Ocoee, Fl, retiring at the age 80.
Mary was a kind and generous soul, always putting others’ needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her, and she will be remembered for her infectious smile and warm personality.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband Roy B. Unklesbay Sr. and her sons Gregory Unklesbay, and Roy “Ben” Unklesbay Jr. and three brothers, Francis, Paul and Donald Fisher.
She is survived by her children Deborah and Dan Phelps of Jackson, Michigan, Jeffrey and Debra Unklesbay of Del City, OK, Linda and Bill Barnes of Goldsboro, NC, Beverly and John Pickard of Orlando, FL, daughter-in-law Carolyn Unklesbay of Lancaster, OH, and longtime dear friend Patti Wilkinson of Orlando, FL. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends, at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home.
Rest in peace, dear mother. You will forever be in our hearts and memories.
