July 3rd 2021 - May 27th 2023

Mary Mildred was born in Muncie, Indiana to Loretta Black Gillespie and Charles Gillespie. She had one younger brother Charles Gillespie. Mary graduated from Muncie Central High School and attended Ball State Teachers College.

She had a keen interest in the Theater and drama and acted in many local Muncie productions as well as Summer Stock plays on the East Coast. She was known for her kindness, elegance and style.

Mary Mildred married Lt. Paul Howard Miller in January, 1944. The couple were blessed with six children: Melinda Anne (Rodriguez), Bruce Thomas, Kevin Howard, Terrance James, Dennis Michael, Kelly Margaret (Magyar); Seven Grandchildren: Alexei, Nicole, Emilie, Eamonn, Liam, Stephen, Indiana; and Six Great Grandchildren: Alexei, Lucas, Sofia, Nicolas, Jack, and Franklin.

She worked many years outside the home in cosmetics for Allied Department Stores in Indianapolis and Ft. Lauderdale, where the family had moved in 1973. She represented several top cosmetic companies including Elizabeth Arden and Clinique.

Mary Mildred was widowed in 1991. She was a devoted lifelong Catholic and a member of St. James Cathedral since moving to Orlando in 1990.

Mimi was everyone's confidant and counselor. Wise and loyal to her family and friends. Always inclusive of everyone.

Mimi spent her final years living in Valrico, Florida, in the home of her elder daughter Melinda and her son-in-law, Dr. Osvaldo Rodriguez.

Our family is grateful to Lifepath Hospice during the final days of our matriarchs' life.

A Funeral Mass will be at St James Cathedral on June 28, 2023 at 2pm in the chapel.
