Mary Anne (Bushey) Danos, 84, of Orlando, died on Friday, August 5, 2022. She was one of six children born to the late Ed and Ruth Bushey in Carthage, New York and was fondly nicknamed “Cookie.” She and her family moved to Florida in the 1950s and there met and married the love of her life, Louis A. Danos. Mary and Lou lived in several states before returning to Florida and settling in Orlando in 1979. They had a strong and enduring marriage that lasted until Lou’s passing in 2012. Mary loved the fall weather, the outdoors, leisurely walks, shopping, talking (especially on the phone), writing poetry and not to forget, chocolate milk. On a nice day, she enjoyed stopping to get a coke or iced coffee or even a burger and having a car picnic under a shaded tree. Mary always had a smile for everyone; especially when she was complimented on her hair. She was a friend to all and was everyone’s “Mom.” She was petite in stature but had a huge heart and a very determined personality and spoke her mind freely. She left a positive and loving impression with everyone she met. Her love will always be with us. Mary’s family was the center of her world, and she is survived by her children: Mike, Steve, Julie, Jeanne, Teri and Joyce; her 11 grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren; her sister, Barbara Brown and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by Louis, her beloved husband of 55 years and her four siblings. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Mary’s name to the following charitable organizations: The American Heart Association, The American Lung Association, The American Cancer Society or The Alzheimer's Association.
