Martha Thomas

Martha V. Thomas, 89, of Orlando passed away on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28 under Hospice Care in Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
Martha was born on February 19, 1929 in Ashville, Ohio and was one of six children of Lewis M. Cummins and Grace Gessels Cummins. She is survived by one sister, Ruth Cummins Humphrey in Columbus, Ohio.
Martha was married to Kenneth A. Thomas 63 1/2 years, who preceded her in death. Martha is survived by her four children Evelyn Hayes and husband Jerry of Barnesville, GA.; Janet Thomas of Titusville, FL.; Kenneth Thomas and wife Gail of Melbourne, FL.; Robert Thomas and wife Patsy-Ann of Orlando, FL.; four grandsons, two great grand daughters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Martha was a graduate of Walnut County Township High School class of 1947. She had a 35 year career in banking before retiring. She was a member of Kissimmee Christian Church in Kissimmee, FL. Martha's hobbies included playing musical instruments (self taught), sewing, quilt making, reading and decorating. Her favorite pass time was entertaining family and friends in her home.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 8th at 10:00 AM at Kissimmee Christian, Kissimmee, FL., by Minister Jim Book. Inurnment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, FL.
