Lyla Perry

3/11/1932 to 3/28/2022

Lyla Joan Perry died March 28, 2022 in Orlando, Florida. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and married at age 17 to William (Bill) R. Perry.  She followed Bill on his various postings with the U.S. Army to Germany, Okinawa, Hawaii, and many other states. Upon Bill’s retirement from the military to Florida, she had a career as a dental hygienist with the Orlando Naval Training Center. Upon her retirement, she and Bill enjoyed living at some of their beach properties, and enjoyed time with family who lived nearby.

Lyla will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia (where Bill and son Timothy are located).

Lyla was preceded in death by her beloved Bill, infant son Timothy, and daughter, Cynthia. She is survived by her son, Dan (Peggy) Perry, granddaughters Tammy McMahon and Elissa Perry, and great grandchildren:  Sophia McMahon, Marcus Young, Maya Young, and Miles Young.
