Louise Friderici, 65, died in Orlando, Fl., on July 3, after a long illness. She was the third child of Wayne and Madeleine Friderici, and grew up in Port Clinton, OH. At the age of 15, she developed myasthenia gravis, and had to struggle with muscles that were extremely weak and quickly fatigued for the rest of her life. But she was determined that she was going to live an independent life and help others, and she DID. Because northern Ohio winters make wheelchair use very difficult, in 1970 she transferred to the University of South Florida, where she earned both Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Counseling. She subsequently went to work at the University of Central Florida, Orlando; and eventually served as Director of Student Disability Services for many years. She was an active participant of the service fraternity Phi Kappa Phi and Mensa. She was also instrumental in the development of the Housing Resource Development Corp., which provides accessible housing and served as President of its oversight board for many years. She is survived by 2 brothers and their wives, Daniel and Karen Friderici, James Friderici and Madelon Blum, and niece, Joan Friderici, grandnephew Owen and nephew, Joseph Friderici. In lieu of flowers, we believe Louise would have appreciated a donation to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation, Wilderness Inquiry, or National Audubon Society. Arrangements entrusted to Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home in Orlando
