Lorraine Barnette

Barnette, Lorraine T., 85, passed away peacefully, on January 5, 2015. Born April 18 in New York, she moved to Orlando in 1956 and married Marion on March 23, 1957. Although the Air Force transferred them around a few times, they knew they would return to Orlando and did so in 1968 with 5 kids in tow. Lorraine and Marion spent 53 years together building a life and family. She is preceded in death by her husband Marion and son Darrell. She is survived by her daughters Teresa, Joanne (Andy), Noreen (Tim) and son Brian (Beverly), all of Orlando; daughter-in-law, Dale (Paul) of MS; grandsons, Thomas, Sean, Kevin, Matthew and Benjamin; granddaughters, Brittany and Lauren. She was a kind and loving person with a big heart and a great smile and she loved to laugh. We will celebrate her life with a visitation on Friday, January 9th from 6- 8 p.m. at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando and a funeral mass on Saturday, January 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 5900 Oleander Drive, Orlando, followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.
