Lawrence “Larry” Edward Wood, Jr. passed to his Heavenly home on August 20, 2022. Born on May 15, 1951 in Rochester, NY, his family relocated to Orlando when he was six months old. Larry spent most of his career in the grocery business; starting out as a bag boy for Sac and Save. He learned the art of meat cutting and was a Meat Department Manager at several Gooding’s Supermarkets in the area for a number of years. His path then led him to be a self-employed route vendor/driver for Charles Chips, Snyders of Hanover and Merita bread. His passions were golfing, fishing, woodworking and music of the 50's & 60's. He put his all into everything he did. He is survived by Martha, his wife of 39 years; his son Ryan and wife Amber; his daughter Jamie Sawyer and husband Dom Sawyer; his grandson Decklan Sawyer and Decklan’s brother or sister who is due to arrive next March. Larry is also survived by his brothers, John and wife Deborah and David and wife Jennifer; his mother-in-law Doris Massey; his brothers -in-law Doug and Mark and wife Samantha; several nephews and Fred Ertley, his best friend since their days at Colonial High School. Memorial donations in Larry's name may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or a charity close to your heart.
