Lawrence Edwin Larry Dolan, 81, died suddenly, and way too soon, at his home, on December 4, 2014. Born April 28, 1933, in Rochester, NY, to Edwin Virginia Dolan. He didnt speak until age three but once he did, he never stopped Anyone who really knew Larry understood he had a big personality and an even bigger heart. He loved life, debating politics, fine wine and single malt scotch. Most of all, he loved his family, especially his grandson. He was a brilliant tax attorney, graduating from NYU, with his J.D. and LL.M., after obtaining his undergraduate degree from Fordham University. At the time of his death, he was still practicing because he loved the law. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served four years as a Naval Navigator. While working in NYC, he interviewed for a job in Orlando To get a free trip to Florida. He took the position and moved his family in 1966. During his years in Orlando, he was active in the Exchange Club and deeply involved in the Catholic church community. He was an avid golfer until he lost his gut and lost his gave and gave up the game when his back gave up on him. Life will never be the same without our Poppy. Larry was predeceased by his beloved wife Sarah. He is survived by his daughter Kathleen Steven Munsey, grandson Matthew, whom he adored, his sister Barbara Rowan, brother Joseph Dolan, sister and brother in law Betty and Dick Pierce, and a host of loving nieces and nephews, and his dear friend Barbara Conklin. A viewing will take place at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Road, on Monday, December 8, 2014, from 6pm8pm, with funeral service being held on Tuesday, 11am, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 4545 Anderson Road, Orlando. Donations in his memory may be made to the Father Camillo Sonny Avitabile Scholarship Fund at Good Shepherd Catholic School, 5900 Oleander Dr. Orlando, FL 32807.
