Kristine was born on June 1, 1927 in Poland. She has two siblings, Zygmunt Jastrzebski and Anna Wilczynski and she and her family lived a happy, almost idyllic life on their lovely property. All that changed during WWII when Russian soldiers tore the family apart, commandeered their home, and transported family members in cattle cars to Eastern Russian labor camps. After incredible hardship and frequent relocation once they were released from the labor camps, Kristine and her family finally settled in London. Their journey to England took them through a refugee camp in Persia (now Iran), Lebanon, and finally England, where she met and married Victor Jasinski. In 1954, Kristine and Victor moved to the USA, following their dream of opportunity. Kristine had two children, Robert and Irene, and focused all of her attention on creating a stable and loving home for her family. She was a truly devoted wife and mother whose family was always the center of her world. Kristine loved the Lord and her Catholic faith. She had a special devotion to the Holy Mother, from whom she took inspiration and found solace. Nature, gardening, and animals gave Kristine a great deal of joy. She enjoyed every opportunity she had to work in her yard, and was proud and fulfilled personally with the beautiful flowers she grew. A great patriot, Kristine loved this country for its freedoms and opportunity, attributes that enabled her family to thrive and have successful and fulfilled lives. A kind, warm, welcoming, and strong person, Kristine will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
