Joy M. Rowland was promoted to glory on January 1, 2022. She was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on November 9, 1938. Her family moved to Tampa, Florida in 1949. In 1958 the family moved to Orlando. Joy loved Jesus and served Him at the Orlando Salvation Army as a Children's Sunday School teacher, and also played Alto Horn in the Salvation Army Band along with singing Alto with the Salvation Army Songsters (Choir). Joy worked as an Administrator in the Property Insurance Industry until her retirement from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. She was always soft spoken, gentle and kind. Joy will be greatly missed by all who knew her!
Joy was pre-deceased by her father; Edward Rowland, Mother; Gladys Rowland &
Brother; Arnold Rowland.
Joy is survived by her sister; Dora M. Rowland, Sister-in-Law; Donna Bryant Rowland,
Niece; Michelle Rowland Felton,her husband David Felton and three children;Kelsey Felton Sarmiento, Allison, and Nathan. Niece; Julie Rowland McKenna, her husband Christian McKenna and two children Courtney & Christian Jr., along with a number of other family members.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 2PM in the CAREY HAND COLONIAL FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 2811 Curry Ford Road Orlando, FL. Visitation to held 1 hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando, FL.
