Jeannette C. Redding, born 01/31/1923, passed away on Tuesday, 02/02/2021 from natural causes. She was born in Lewiston, Maine to Jean Labbe Chouinard and Wilfred Chouinard. Her husband for 50 years, Carl O. Redding, and son Timothy Andrew Redding preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter Jean Ann R. Robinson and son-in-law Clint of Alachua, FL. daughter Joyce R. Hunter, son-in-law David of Davenport, FL, son Carl O. Redding, Jr. daughter-in-law Carol of Titusville, FL. Grandchildren Matthew C. Robinson (Tanya) of Palm Coast, FL; Luke T. Robinson (Txong) of Gainesville, FL; Lee Shupsky (Daniel) of Lakeland, FL; Tamara Hunter of Davenport, FL; Rebecca Hunter (Jessica) of Tampa, FL; David Hunter, III (Heather) of Ray City, GA; Eric Redding (Amy) of Stuart, FL; James Redding (Mia) of Titusville, FL. Great-grandchildren Allyssa Robinson of Naples, FL; Cassidy Robinson of Gainesville; Morgan Shupsky and Mark Shupsky of Lakeland, FL.; Gary Robson of Ray City, GA; Samantha Redding of Stuart; Izaac Redding and Quinlyn Redding of Titusville, FL.
During World War II, Mrs. Redding worked for the GAO in Washington, D.C. where she met her husband to be, Carl, who was recently discharged from the US Marine Corp, and working at the Library of Congress.They lived in Rumford, Maine and Greenbelt, Maryland before moving to Orlando, FL in 1956. Mrs. Redding worked as a legal secretary and bookkeeper before retiring. The Redding family was a founding family of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Azalea Park. She enjoyed traveling having visited most of the 50 states. She also enjoyed needle crafts and gardening. Services will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Monday, 02/08/2021 at 11:00 am. Flowers may be sent to Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Rd., Orlando, FL.
