Jean Crenshaw

Jean Wagoner Crenshaw (Mother Jean)  passed away peacefully Friday February 25, 2022.  She was 95 years old.  Originally from Coshocton, Ohio.  She moved Orlando in 1939 with her Grandparents.  She attended OHS High School and graduated in 1944 and where she met the love of her life and husband for more than 65 years who preceded her in death, Donald Lee Crenshaw, former Orlando City Commissoner for 16 years.  They had two children Douglas Lee Crenshaw, spouse Donna Crenshaw (predeceased).  Daughter Cynthia Crenshaw McNamara, spouse Michael McNamara.  Four Grandchildren, Bryan and Lance Crenshaw, Chris and Katie Murphy.  Seven Great Grandchildren, Taylor, Wayde and Bryce Crenshaw, Gavin, Miles and Ian Crenshaw and Justice Jean Harris.  Jean volunteered as a Pink Lady.  Mother Jean was a “Great Listener” and a very caring, loving and attentive Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, hence the name “Mother Jean”.  She loved to read and watch her black and white movies, especially if Clark Gable was in it.  She was an avid animal lover.  She loved to sit in her chair inside the house or in the garage and would always greet the neighbors, friends or family.  She would light up when they brought their pets for her to love on.

In lieu of flowers, Please donate to the animal shelter of your choice.  Please join the family for a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 12:00.  Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
