James Shedd

Rev. James Jim Monroe Shedd, born on March 20, 1935 in Abbieville, Georgia, to the late Mary Ruth Stone Shedd and the late James Grady Shedd, passed away at age 83 on September 10, 2018 in Orlando, Florida. From 1957 to 1957, James served in the Army. James was the beloved husband of Dorothy Ellen Shedd. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Horace Grady Shedd, John Wright Shedd, Eddie Lamar Shedd, and Clinton Lanier Shedd; sisters, Evelyn Raye Shedd Solomon and Dorothy Faye Shedd Waters; grandmother, Matttie Clem Slaughter Stone; and grandfather, Archie Stone. James is survived by his daughters, Tanya Michelle Shedd Dominy and Teresa Dianne Shedd Cangiano; brother, Charles Dennerd Shedd; and sister, Shirley Elaine Shedd Neal. He also leaves behind his dog, Rocky. He was a member of Sanctuary Church. Friends and family can pay their respects at the visitation, officiated by Pastor Dwaine Eaton, on Monday, September 17 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 East Curry Ford Road, Orlando, Florida, 32806. A funeral service will take place, officiated by Pastor Dwaine Eaton, on Tuesday, September 18 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home. The burial, officiated by Pastor Dwaine Eaton, will follow from 11:00 to 12:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Cemetary, 2420 Harrell Rd, Orlando, Florida, 32817.
