James Girton

James Michael "Mike" Girton, 61 of Winter Garden, FL passed on Friday October 2, 2015. Mike was born on October 11, 1953 to James L. and Dorothy (May) Girton in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. He was a 1971 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School. He was employed by Orange County Environmental Protection Division as a Sr. Environmental Specialist. He was a member of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his sisters; Carol Volpe (Paul), Wareham, MA; Dorothy J. Girton, Bloomsburg, PA; Patricia Stober (Kevin), Barto, PA; Mary Hampton (Walter), Fleetwood, PA; Kathleen Moyer (James), Mohrsville, PA and Jennifer Stuart (Robert), Birdsboro, PA and numerous nieces/nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Dorothy and sister Anne Long.
He was cared for in his final days by his companion Jane Heppner, Orlando, FL and his former wife Nancy Girton, Lakeland, FL.
Services will be held on Wednesday October 7, 2015 at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1655 Peel Ave., Orlando, FL., 32806. Viewing and family visitation from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Russell Home at www.russellhome.org
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally, PA on Saturday, October 17th at 11:00 AM with a gathering of friends 1 hour prior to services. A luncheon will follow in the church's social hall.
