Irene Rice

Irene E. Rice, 79, passed away on Sunday May 10, 2015 to rest in the arms of Jesus. She was the wife of the late Ssgt. Bernard E. Rice who served in the USAF for 22 years. They were married for 46 years and traveled together to many location throughout this country and in Germany. After his retirement in 1972 they moved to Orlando from Eglin AFB, FL.
She worked for Orange Co. School Food Services at Lancaster Elementary School for 38 years as the Cafeteria Manager. When she retired she enjoyed spending time with her children and Grandchildren. She was a avid seamstress and throughly loved making clothes for family and friends.

She was survived by two sons: Steven (Linda) Rice of Warner Robbins, GA and Dana (Karla) Rice of Fruitland Park, FL. Grandchildren: Katie Rice; Gary (Linzi) Rice; Capt. Chris (Marcy) Rice; Jennifer (Kevin) Browne; Kevin (Heather Arnett) Rice. Great-Grandchildren: Timothy & Corinna Rice; Kimberley & Sean Young; Aaron Browne; Sister: Barbara (Richard) Snow. She was preceded in death by Husband: Bernard E. Rice and her Parents: Patrick and Antoinette Rovinelli.

A time of Visitation; Monday, May 18, 2015 at 6:00 - 8:00 PM will be held at Carey-Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curryford Rd. Orlando, FL 32806

Funeral Mass; Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church 6200 South O.B.T; Orlando, FL 32809.

Family Burial will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL following the Service.
