Gholson, Gerald N., 88, of Orlando, FL, passed away on December 26, 2020, surrounded by his family. He was born on June 15, 1932 in Paducah, KY and moved to Orlando when he was 15 years old. He graduated from Orlando H.S. and then began his life career with Bell South for 35 years from 1954 to 1989 when he retired. He taught most of the neighborhood kids how to water ski in the 1960's. He loved taking everyone on dune buggy rides at the beach.
Gerald was married to his loving wife Marjorie in 1956 and was happily married for 64 years. He always called his wife his Princess. They would go on to have 3 children together, Vicki, Kathy and Gerald. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Lola Gholson, brother, Richard Gholson, Jr, sister, Mary Ellis Sisson and granddaughter, Erin Rose Hoaglen. He is survived by his wife Marjorie Gholson, son Gerald K. Gholson, daughters Vicki and Kathy Gholson, five grandchildren; Perrin and Erin Rose Hoaglen, Peter and Alexander Martinez and Carl Hanson, three great grandchildren; Nathaniel and Evelyn Rose Hoaglen and Alexander Martinez, Jr. A viewing will take place at Carey Hand Colonial F.H., 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, on Wednesday, January 20, from 10am until time of funeral service at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
