Eugene Alexander Volik, 86, of Orlando fell asleep in the Lord on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. He was born in Sumy, Ukraine to the late Simon Alexander and Anna Volik. He and his family immigrated to the U.S. when he was 14 years old. Gene proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Returning to civilian life, he was employed as a Supervisor for Lockheed Martin from where he retired after many years of service. Gene was a parishioner of St. George Orthodox Church where he was active in their community. In his leisure time, Gene enjoyed traveling and was a Corvette enthusiast. His wholehearted love for his family will be remembered forever.
Gene is survived by his beloved wife, Judy (Butler); his son, Alex; his daughter, Larissa; his granddaughters, Celeste and Anna and his sister, Luba and husband Dan. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, October 30 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. followed by a Funeral Liturgy beginning at 3:30 p.m. He will be laid to rest with military honors in Chapel Hill Cemetery on Monday, October 31 at 1:00 p.m.
