- age 82 of Orlando, FL.; passed away quietly in her home March 20, 2015. Beloved wife of Alexander " Jim" Finella for 62 years; dearest mother of Edward (Cathy) Finella, & John Finella; proud grandmother of Valerie (Jason) Hatcher, Elizabeth Finella, & Danielle Finella; sister of Veronica Penilla of Scranton, PA., predeceased by 3 brothers and 5 sisters; also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday, March 24th from 6-8pm at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Rd., Orlando, FL.; where funeral services will be held the following day, Wednesday March 25th at 10:30am. Mrs. Finella will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando, FL.
Elizabeth was a wife, mother, and grandmother, where she dedicated her entire life towards the happiness of her family. She will always be remembered by her friends with a happy and warm smile, which she always had on her face. She was the first lady of the Italian American War Veterans of the United States, member of the Italian American Social Club, where she was an active member for the past 30 years. She also enjoyed community work with Child Welfare, and Veteran's Volunteer Services. Elizabeth always put others before herself, regardless of the circumstances.
