Eduardo Luciano Vargas, 90, of Orlando, died peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2022. He was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to the late Carmelo and Adelaida (Mariani) Vargas. He came to the U.S. in the early 1950’s and enrolled at Tulane University. He couldn’t complete his degree because he enlisted into the U.S. Air Force to serve his country. His military career took he and his family around the world to places such as Germany, Spain and Panama. At retirement, he attained the rank of Master Sergeant and was the recipient of many awards and medals. Spending time with his family was Eduardo’s main priority. They enjoyed traveling to new places and camping. In his leisure time, Eduardo also enjoyed spending time in the garden. His love for family and country will always be remembered. He is survived by Diana (Anglada), his beloved wife of 68 years; his sons: Ed Vargas, Alberto Vargas and wife Kelly and Ivan Vargas and partner Frank; his grandchildren: Robert, Valerie, Elizabeth, Adrian, Andrew, Christian, Ciara, Alexis and Shae; his great-grandchildren: Cory, Sawyer and Harper and finally, his brother, Carlos Vargas.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, September 24 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A vigil service will begin at 4:00 p.m. Eduardo will be laid to rest privately with military honors in Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at a later date.
