Dorothy Peterson

Dorothy J. Peterson, age 92, of Orlando passed away on October 17, 2015. Born November 9, 1922 in Buffalo, NY to Paul A. and Genevieve (Thill) Grupp. Mrs. Peterson worked as a secretary for a Winter Park architectural firm. Some highlights of her life would include a two month trip around the world with her husband Donald L. Peterson and traveling to the Vatican to meet the Pope with her mother. Dorothy and her husband were both Charter members of the Reformation Lutheran Church in Orlando. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Jane Peterson, grandsons Ronald Scott and Michael Lee Peterson, great grandchildren Jaacob and Savanna all of Orlando. Other survivors include 4 sisters Ruth McAlear, Ellen Doerflein, Pauline Riley and Mary Newman. Mrs. Peterson was preceded in death by her husband and her son Ronald Theodore Peterson. Services will be held on Thursday, 10/22/2015 at 12 noon at the Reformation Lutheran Church in Orlando. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church.
