Dorothea Mae "Dottie" Riter
February 21, 1938 - September 6, 2024
A tribute to "Dottie" is hard to put into words. Always had a brilliant smile on her face and a sparkle in her eyes. Dementia tried to take that away but couldn't. A true heart of gold that showed in her love of her family and friends.
You left her home with more than you came with and never left hungry. Signature potato salad and pies only she could make.
She retired from KPMG in Orlando after an amazing career she loved. Happily, participated in events to give back to the community sponsored by the firm.
She loved old hymns and would sing along, knowing all the words. Dottie accepted the gift of her heavenly wings when the Lord called her home. We know she is welcomed with loving open arms to rejoice in His love. Now can celebrate everlasting life with those who have gone before her.
Dottie was born in Orlando to Irene and Charles Coward, was married Phillip R. Riter, Sr for 50 years.
She was a proud mother of 3, grandmother of 5 and great grandmother of 8.
Dottie will be greatly missed and remembered fondly. Her love and spirit will live on in all who knew and loved her. Don't worry, we will carry on from here until we see you again.
Many thanks to The Gardens of Eastbrooke Memory Care Center and Hospice of Florida for taking exceptional care of our mom. We would like to express our gratitude for your love and support in her journey thru Dementia to Heaven.
She was greeted at the gates of Heaven by Phillip Riter, Sr, Phillip Riter Jr, Irene Coward Patterson, Charles Coward, Thomas Patterson, Martha Walley (sister), and many other family members.
