Dona Armstrong

Dona Louise Cherry Armstrong (1926-2016) passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016.
Dona was a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Air Force where she was a nurse taking care of our great American war heroes.
It is fitting salute that she passed away on Memorial Day.
Dona continued her nursing career with the Central Florida Blood Bank and then with Walt Disney World where she retired after 15 years of service.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa Newsome (Michael) and son Martin Armstrong (Pam).
Dona had four grand children: Stephanie Butler (Jerrad), Kristine Shunamon (Joe), Kerin Hawkins (Rob), and Mark Newsome, and seven Great-Grand children: Kira, Ashley, Sarah, Blake, Reese, Shyenne and Michael.
A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Saturday, June 4th at 10:00 AM at the Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, Florida 32806 where military honors will be performed.
