David Phipps

David Boggs Phipps, 91, of Orlando, Florida, died March 5, 2015. David Phipps, Son of James and Lavenia Phipps, loving Husband of June McGee Phipps, passed away on March 5th at his home in Orlando, Florida after a long courageous battle with cancer.
David graduated from Indiana, PA, high school in 1941 and joined the Marines in 1942, duringWorld War II. He served until 1945, 3 years with distinction as a Marine. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him, as friends and family will attest. David worked as a soil analyst until his retirement in 1991. He loved to golf and spent many days and hours on the golf course. David loved to excerise and enjoyed his daily walks around Lake Underhill.
He is survived by his Wife, June and their Son Mark Phipps. He also left behind 3 Grandchildren; Lindsey, Sam and Cole. 2 Great Grandchildren; Emma and Maci. All living in the Orlando area. He wil be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Services will be held Thursday, March 12th at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 East Curry Ford Road, Orlando, Florida 32806 at 3:00 PM
