David Joel Ansley, age 70, passed peacefully in his sleep on June 21, 2024. He was a lifelong resident of Orlando, born November 11,1953 and attended Boone High School.
David is survived by his wife Donna of 47 years, children; Erin Ansley, Ryan Ansley (Spouse Shannon) and Ian Ansley (Spouse Andrea) along with 5 grandchildren; Kensen Calderon, Julian Ansley, Amelia Ansley, Harlow Calderon, and Isla Ansley, who lovingly knew him as "Poppa," brother James A. Ansley, and biological daughter Susan Miller Roys, with whom he recently reconnected.
Throughout his life, David enjoyed baseball, surfing, fishing, golf, and making anyone around him laugh with his quick humor. He also liked the occasional beer and chicken wing.
David learned plumbing and construction from his father at a young age and worked as a mechanical plumber for Ansley Plumbing and Walt Disney World until becoming owner of Joann's Chili Bordello in College Park.
He will be missed by his family and many friends, as he made friends wherever he'd go.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 28 at Carey Hand Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Rd., Orlando, FL 32806, with viewing at 3:30 p.m. and service at 4:00 p.m., for anyone who would like to attend.
We wish him peace on the "other side" of this world. He will be loved and missed by his family for the rest of our lives.
