Darren D. Poirier, 55 of Poinciana, FL, son of Ronald and the Late June Rose Poirier, passed away on Saturday, May 27. Darren was born and raised in the Brockton, MA area and moved to Florida with his family when he was in his twenties. He was an avid New England sports fan and especially loved the Patriots and Red Sox. He would attend Patroit away games in his full Captain America regalia and taunt the opposing team's fans. He was also an enthusiastic lottery player and actually hit Florida's Fantasy Five on two occasions. He enjoyed dreaming up creative strategies to increase his chances of winning. Darren was a generous soul. He took great pride and pleasure in helping family and friends. He enjoyed a good romantic movie and was a believer in true love. Darren worked in the hospitality industry where his personality would make him a favorite of regular visitors to the establishment. He also owned his own power washing business aptly named Fenway South.

Darren was the brother of the late Dana and Dean Poirier. He is survived by two brothers and a sister, Ronald Jr and his wife Jeanne, Daniel and his wife Christine, and Michelle Garrett and her husband James. He also leaves behind his good friend Gary Beaulieu and several nieces and nephews, of which he was especially fond.
