Darline Dee Bendoski

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darling Dee Bendoski, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who passed away on November 18, 2024 at the age of 91. Born on January 16, 1933, in Glendale, California, Darling’s early life was marked by hardship and instability, growing up without the care of a father and with a mother who could not provide the love and support Darling needed. Despite the challenges, Darling’s resilience and strength never wavered, and she rose above her circumstances to create a life of purpose and love.

Dee was determined to give her family the best life she could. Her unwavering drive to create a better world for those around her shaped her life. Through her wisdom, kindness, and generosity, she demonstrated what it meant to love and serve others. Darling had a unique eye for beauty and always found ways to create something special, no matter the resources at hand.

A pivotal moment in Dee's life came when two young LDS Missionaries dressed in white shirts knocked on her door in 114° heat, introducing her to a new journey that would change her world and that of her family. This encounter helped shape her into the loving, giving person she became. Her dedication to helping others, especially through her involvement in the church, became a cornerstone of her life. Though not a scripture scholar, Darling’s faith was evident in the ways she served, loved, and supported those around her.

Throughout her life, Darling traveled the world with her husband, making their homes beautiful wherever they lived. She touched lives in California, Utah, Georgia, and Florida, and her homes were known for their beauty and warmth—some even featured in magazines and film. Darling and her husband also opened a bed and breakfast, where their home became a gathering place for friends and family.

Darling’s family was her greatest love, and she gave her all to raising her four children and helping to raise five grandchildren. Her home was always open, and she provided a loving environment for those who needed it. Dee was an amazing cook, loved beautiful things, and found joy in celebrating life, particularly through her love for Christmas, which she made last all year round.

Darling will be remembered as a force of nature—determined, hardworking, and deeply caring. She was known for her no-nonsense approach and for getting things done, but also for her immense love for her family and everyone she met. Her legacy of service, love, and determination will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Darling is preceded in death by her loving husband Donald Edward Bendoski. She is survived by her children Kym Jensen, Mark Bendoski, Scott Bendoski, Gail Denham and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A celebration of Darling’s life will take place on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Cary Hand Mortuary, 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, FL from 6-8 pm. The service will also be available to watch online via… She will be missed, but her love and spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.
