Darien Matay

Darien Reinhold Matay, age 19, of Orlando, FL passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. Darien loved life he enjoyed scuba diving, skiing, white water rafting and flying, having just completed his first solo flight two days prior to his passing. He attended University of North Florida where he was working toward his degree in Clinical Psychology.

He is survived by his loving parents: Reinhold and Terre L. Matay of Orlando.

Other survivors include the Berghof family his Grandaddy: Ernest of Orlando. His Uncle Craig, Aunt Jennifer and cousins Gwenyth and Morgan all of Santa Rosa, CA.

The Jones family Uncle Daryl, Aunt Monica and cousins Hayden, Kevin and Rachel all of Orlando, FL.

A celebration of Darien's life will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 7:00 PM @ Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home located at 2811 E. Curry Ford Rd. Orlando, FL 32806. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until the time of service. A private committal service will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
