Claude Henry Wolfe Junior, passed away on April 3, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. Born on December 12, 1934, at Orange General Hospital in Orlando, Claude was a lifelong resident of the city, having been raised in Delaney Park. He attended Delaney Park Elementary and Cherokee Junior High School. He went on to Orlando High School before ultimately graduating from Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, GA. He then earned his degree from the University of Florida.
He started his career path in the family business, Claude H Wolfe Incorporated, before moving onto his lifelong career in commercial real estate. A man of faith, he was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, where he also engaged in various community activities.
An avid member of the University Club and a world traveler, Claude found joy in exploring new cultures and meeting people from all walks of life. His commitment to community and zest for life were evident in all his endeavors.
Claude is survived by his daughters, Lisa Caldwell and Susan Whitehurst (Hugh). His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Andrew McCarthy, Lauren Su (Kevin), Cam Caldwell, Katy Wegmann (Jack), Hunter Whitehurst (Shelby), as well as his great-grandchildren, Peyden, Miles, and Evelyn Su. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Henry Wolfe Senior and Isabelle Bird Wolfe; sister, Mary Virginia Handley (Leon); and daughter, Allison Wolfe Best.
A memorial service celebrating Claude's life will be held in the chapel at the First Presbyterian Church of Orlando on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 11AM with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, honoring Claude's memory and his commitment to his faith community.
