Carmen Rivera; October 26, 1933 - July 26, 2015
Carmen Rivera, 81, passed away after an illness with cancer. In recent days she had visits from her loving family. Part of a large family, she was born in beautiful Arroyo, Puerto Rico to Francisca Diaz and Ricardo Ramirez and raised by her beloved stepmother Santo Ortiz.
As a loving wife she traveled with her husband Osvaldo Rivera around the USA and Europe, eventually settling in Orlando after Osvaldo retired from the US Army. At home she enjoyed Spanish music especially Reggaeton, was a wonderful Puerto Rican cook, avid gardener, and loved movie night. She was also talented in the art of tatting and crocheting.
She is survived by her brother and sisters, daughters, grandchildren, and great-grand children; Paulo "Ramón" Ramirez, Theresa Garcia, Lydia Santas, Shelley Rivera, Vivian Hunt, Adina I Rivera, Shirley I Hunt- Joseph , Carmen Hunt, Isiah Darrel Hunt, Aolani J Hunt, Malaysia Hunt and many other loving relatives.
